Still en route to Cali. Most of our stops have been truck stops and side streets for our overnights. While heading through Montana we decided to find a campground for the evening. It’s a Sunday afternoon, and we had no plans of stopping at a campground, my human called the other one and asked her to find a place to overnight. She used RVTripWizard and a little guidance to route us to Dillon, Montana. A quick call ahead to the Southside RV Park and we had a place to stay.
The RV park was easy to find coming off the interstate. The roads leading in a wide and no issues for even the largest of motorhomes. Upon arrival at 6pm, we were eagerly greeted and withing 5 minutes heading over to out slot.
The overall cleanliness of the park was very good. The slots we fairly flat and very long. Even the largest motorhomes would have ample space. The lots are not too close to each other but they are not that far apart either. I was only staying overnight, my only needs were electricity and a place to dump and fill my freshwater tanks for my next destination. Each campsite had a picnic table. The advertisement for the campground says that it has high-speed internet. My human played around a few minutes trying to connect with little success. The one time that he did connect, speedtest showed the connection as very slow. Teetering his iPhone using AT&T he was quickly able to get online.
My human took a walk around the park to check out the facilities. He reported back the laundry room was nice. Washers and dryers, plus a table to sit out and read while waiting. He really liked the way it was set up, it did not feel like your typical laundry room. Over to the bathhouse, several shower stalls, and one or two toilets. Not very much privacy, just show curtains on each of the stalls, including the toilets.
Overall this is a great campsite to overnight. The lots are big, water pressure good, and it is quiet after a long day of driving.
