I love RV campgrounds on military bases for many reasons. After a long day on the road, it is so nice to relax the feet on level ground rather than on the lego-like leveling blocks. The facilities are always clean. My human peeps save lots of money, since these campgrounds, when in a metropolitan or vacation area, significantly cheaper than a private campground.
Seabreeze lives up to the name. While we were here in October, the breeze was perfect – cooling but not so windy that I could not stretch out (human-speak: put out the awning). In the summer, I can see that things could get hot…many slots did not have shade but no problem for us. If you tow a car, there is a parking space adjacent to where your RV sits, which makes for a more orderly appearance throughout the park. Since my chassis is German, orderly and neat is very important to me!
The campground has a place for both humans and RVs to bathe as well as free
laundry. There is a small Navy Exchange if your humans forget something.
The location of the park – off Seal Beach Blvd., a few blocks north of PCH, allows for easy access to the cute downtown area, so my humans could ride bikes to the beach (bike lane all the way). There is a municipal parking area at the Seal Beach Pier, so I was able to tip my tires in the sand in the parking lot, which was nice after all those miles of asphalt.
This park is my third favorite military campground to date (#1 Sea Mist in VA Beach, #2 the campground on Ft. Huachuca). Clean, quiet, and squared-away.
