Caboose Lake Campground, Remington, IN

Goin’ back to Cali. My human’s intent was to stay at truck stops while heading west. While we were passing through Indiana we stopped on I-65 at Remington Indiana. The Pilot lot was absolutely packed. However, he noticed that on the right-hand side of the exit was a campground. So just after 9pm, we rolled in.

As I mentioned the campgoudn was right off Exit 201 on I-65. The campground has over 100 full hookup sites with a bathhouse and laundry facility.  This is a medium side campground but is very close to the interstate. This means easy access from the interstate but also very noisy all night long. I-65 is a heavy traveled trucking route.

The overall cleanliness of the park was very good. I am assuming that we are at the end of their beach/lake activity season and there was clutter based on those activities. The slots we fairly flat and very long. Even the largest motorhomes would have ample space. However, the lots are very close together. I was only staying overnight, my only needs was electricity and a place to dump and fill my freshwater tanks for my next destination.  Each campsite has a fire pit and picnic table.  The advertisement for the campground says that it has high-speed internet but reviews would suggest that it is not very good. My human played around a few minutes trying to find the hotspot and a password, but since we came in late and did a paper check-in, he opted just to use his phone as a hotspot.

This campground is more than sufficient you need a place to stay when the truck stops are full across the road.
